My version of a southwest Hopi Ladder or Kiva or Pueblo ladder. A little Northwest driftwood meets Southwest vibes. Living in Tucson over half the year, with all it’s beautiful Native American culture as well as Seattle the other half having equally beautiful Native culture inspired these creations.

~ For many Pueblo Indians, the ladder is at once a practical tool and a powerful metaphor. The ladder is used to descend and ascend—and to cross multiple worlds. By climbing the rungs of the ladder out of a kiva, travelers ascend to Earth, replicating the mythical ancestral emergence into this world, and at the same time connecting to their ancient ancestors who first made these journeys.
